Family ministry is the synergy of best practices from what are typically three age-segregated ministries—children, students and adults—into one ministry dedicated to raising up a new generation of uncompromising Christ followers.
Family Ministry is committed to restoring healthier roles of parents and the church, with the church as a resource to parents instead of the primary agent in building their children’s faith.
We still have age specific ministries, but we strive to coordinate efforts to bring families together beyond the walls of the church.
Opprtunities to grow as adults and family leaders are created through Sunday morning electives, events, activities and at home devotionals. Our four primary "pillars" the adult/family development segment is built on are as follows:
These are electives and events that speak to each individual person in family leadership. Afterall, how can you lead your family if you yourself are not in a position, spiritually, to lead.
Our belief that the most important relationship in a home is the marital relationship. These electives and events will help strengthen these as you lead your family.
One of the biggest stressors for families today is the concept of money management. These electives and events will help get you and your family on the same page with regards to our role as stewards of what God blesses each of us with.
Parenting is this generations investing in a legacy that is the next generation, get it right and your legacy is a blessing to all those around you, get it wrong and the blessings of life turn bitter. But how do you get it right? What is "right" any way? These electives and events will help define a clear direction for your parenting indeavours.
Full Circle Family Celebrations:
Full Circle Family Celebrations (or FCFCs for short) are Cornerstone's strategic way to partner with parents to celebrate the milestones in a child's life. These are not just special days on Sunday, these celebrations require work on the family's part to prepare and learn about the milestone they are celebrating.
